Nominations are now open for the 2019 science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) Excellence Awards, celebrating Tasmanians who have excelled in their field.

Now in their fourth year, the awards recognise Tasmanian’s leading the way in STEM, and inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers.

Award categories

  • The Premier’s Tasmanian STEM Researcher of the Year
  • The Minister’s Tasmanian STEM Innovation of the Year
  • The Tasmanian STEM Teacher of the Year for Primary Teachers
  • The Tasmanian STEM Teacher of the Year for Secondary Teachers
  • The Tasmanian STEM Young Researcher of the Year
  • The Tasmanian STEM Communicator of the Year

Nominations close 11:59 pm Friday, 27 September 2019, with the winners to be announced during November.
