Inspiring Australia’s Science Engagement Grants will provide funding up to $5,000 for public science engagement events and activities in Tasmania in 2018.
The Inspiring Australia Tasmanian Science Engagement Grants Program seeks to support businesses, organisations and individuals to undertake events and activities that enhance the Tasmanian community’s engagement in STEM.
In 2018, there will be two streams of funding available. To find out more and to apply:
Inspiring Australia Grants for Tasmanian Science Engagement Events (up to $2,000)
Inspiring Australia Grants for Tasmanian Science Engagement Projects (up to $5,000)
Eligible applicants:
- Individuals, organisations and businesses are all invited to apply
Eligible projects:
- Projects must support the objectives of Inspiring Australia
- Creative approaches to science engagement and communication are encouraged
- Events and activities must be held in Tasmania and take place prior to 31 December 2018.
Please note that this is a competitive grant round and applications will be assessed on a ‘value for money’ basis that balances the depth of science engagement and total reach (audience) against funds sought. Applications that deliver activity in regional areas will be looked upon favourably.
Projects in the $2,001 – $5,000 range need to demonstrate substantial engagement and reach.
