RAI released Regional Growth Prospects: Strategic Investment in Food Processing, Tourism, Advanced Manufacturing and Creative Industries on 12 June 2019
The Regional Australia Institute (RAI) has unveiled the ‘hotspots’ for four key industries that can help drive the economic future of regional Australia – following the release of its national Regional Growth Prospects Report.
The new report pinpoints regions across the country where jobs in tourism, food processing, advanced manufacturing and creative industries really matter for local employment, and where policy makers and regional leaders should focus investment.
Tasmania has specialist areas of creative industries and tourism employment potential.
Hobart was recognised as 1 of 4 local Government areas nationally with strength in creative industries and Glamorgan Spring Bay and Tasman Council areas were 2 of the 4 areas highlighted for tourism growth.
