Skills Fund targeted grants

The Department of State Growth, through Skills Tasmania, is releasing a targeted grant round of the Skills Fund program

Tasmanian Government skills funding applications now open, $3 million in targeted funding for:

Tourism and Hospitality to support the growth of this sector and the industry’s peak summer period;

Mining to support new iron ore mining operations in the North West with a focus on further enhancing health and safety skills;

Agriculture including Forestry to fill the need for skilled workers across agricultural sectors as part of the Agriskills project as well as the skilled labour needs of the dairy sector in the North West;

Disability Services to support the full rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in 2019; and

Building and Construction including Civil Construction to ensure training is available to respond to the significant activity in both the public and private sectors.
