On-farm food loss quantified

At the July 2019 Food Innovations Hub Tasmania Forum, participants prioritised undertaking research to determine the level of on-farm and processing losses in the horticultural sector in Tasmania. 

The research has been completed with findings of 90,000 tonnes of vegetables and 1,050 tonnes of fruit losses per annum. A webinar will be held at 10am on 8 July to discuss the results.
