National Awards for Local Government Open

Nominations for awards close 3 March 2017.

These awards recognise innovative projects which provide new or improved local government services to regional and rural communities.

The ‘best of the best’ local government projects ranging from infrastructure, regional growth and art projects will be celebrated.

The national winner of the 2016 Awards was Mackay Regional Council in Queensland for their Transforming a Water Business project.

All local governments are encouraged to submit projects that contribute to building stronger and vibrant communities

Category winners will be announced in mid-April 2017 and the national winner will be announced at the Australian Local Government Association National General Assembly dinner in June 2017.
