More funding opportunities for the Raw Materials Industry
Posted on by email@example.com
The securing raw materials program (SRMP) provides funding of up to $5 million for businesses who utilise or are dependant on raw material being sourced from regional areas.
Several RDA committees across our nation have provided feedback on how the pandemic has highlighted issues with supply chains and the need for producers to secure raw inputs to production.
The grant is for businesses in capital cities looking to relocate or expand to regional areas. Also including businesses in regional areas looking to expand to a different regional area.
Relocating or hiring 10 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees is in your organisation who are relocating or commencing work at the new regional operation, branch or outpost.
Tasks businesses will undertake will be to partner with a regional research institution to undertake the research into, and the development of, innovative and locally sourced raw material supplies which also includes the tasks of establishing new suppliers or products and value adding to existing known supplies.
This grant is an open opportunity with a broad eligibility criterion. The grant suggests that it would be best suited to manufacturing businesses. Projects in the extraction of minerals and traditional energy production sectors are not eligible.
Applications close at 5:00pm (AEDT) 24 February 2022
