Live Performance Support Program

Tasmanian arts organisations, festival organisers, cultural producers and performing arts venues can apply

The Live Performance Support Program has been designed to give the performing arts sector confidence to plan live performances in Tasmanian theatres and other venues throughout 2021.

This initiative supports:

  • arts organisations and businesses (including sole traders and partnerships), festival organisers, cultural producers and performing arts venues (including those owned and operated by local government enterprises) based in Tasmania, presenting performances or events that feature Tasmanian artists.

Eligible art forms include circus, physical theatre, comedy, dance, multi-arts, music, music theatre, opera, other performing arts and theatre.

School seasons are eligible for support under the program, provided the applicant meets the eligibility requirements.

Tasmanian arts organisations, festival organisers, cultural producers and performing arts venues responsible for box office risk on performances or events in the eligible period can apply for a guarantee ranging from $10 000 to $100 000.
