The community sector, incorporating health care and social assistance, is regional Tasmania’s largest employer. An additional 2,200 new jobs are forecast for this sector by 2020, with much of this growth anticipated to be in aged care and disability services. By supporting training, up-skilling and building awareness of career pathways, students have a better chance of success in this growing sector.
