Australia Government's New Child Care Package to be released in July 2018

From 2 July 2018, there will be a New Child Care Package.The package includes a new Child Care Subsidy, which replaces the current Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate. It will be paid directly to services.

The Department of Education and Training is working to implement the Australian Government’s new child care package, which commences on 2 July 2018. The new package, which includes extra help for regional and remote communities, means there will be more support for more Australian families.

The level of Child Care Subsidy that can be accessed will depend on a family’s combined annual income, the activity level of both parents, and the type of child care used. Around 1.2 million Australian families will be affected by the changes.
