What is Professional Development Exchange?
Professional Development Exchange is an exceptional professional and cultural exchange opportunity for professional and business people between the ages of 25 and 40 who are in the early stages of their careers.
The program will provide funding for exchange visits of four weeks between Tasmania and New Zealand. Four team members from each region will see directly how their professions are practiced overseas, develop professional and personal relationships, and exchange ideas. They will also experience the history, geography, institutions, culture and the way of life of the host country. The team will be led by an experienced Rotarian selected from Rotary club nominations.
Team members will come from corporations, small businesses, and other organisations that are involved in the tourism and primary industry sectors.
Why Should I Participate?
The program is designed to have an invaluable impact on the career of a young professional in the increasingly global workplace by developing skills, creating networking opportunities and lifelong friendships. Individuals who participate in this rewarding once in a lifetime experience will return home with broadened cultural perspective and new understanding of the USA’s history, commerce and government. This program offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, work on team building, and increase self-confidence.
