15th National Rural Health Conference 24th - 27th March 2019 Hobart

15th National Rural Health Conference 24th - 27th March 2019 Hobart

Every two years the rural and remote health sector comes together at Australia's premier rural health event - the National Rural Health Conference.

In March 2019 they will welcoming delegates to Hobart for the 15th National Health Conference.

With 1,200 delegates attending our last Conference, it's an unmissable opportunity to discover the latest developments in rural and remote health, network with rural health leaders and help set the agenda for the next two years.

The 15th Conference is once again proudly hosted by the National Rural Health Alliance, Australia's peak body for rural and remote health with 35 member organisations.

The conference's great strength draws from the diversity of groups which attend - the health practitioners, consumers, academics, students, politicians and media.

Another feature is that delegates produce a set of recommendations to guide the sector's reform agenda.

We encourage anyone engaged with the health and wellbeing of rural and remote Australia to get involved.

Delegates will be able to:

  • inspire and inform;
  • listen to the latest research from both experienced and early-career academics;
  • anticipate trends and issues;
  • showcase developments on the ground;
  • celebrate success;
  • engage with health practitioners, consumers, academics and students;
  • produce a set of priority recommendations for governments; and
  • promote a stronger awareness of rural and remote health issues in the wider community and among policy makers.

The Conference will have a strong focus on the determinants of health, on the most successful health service delivery models, and on research that reveals solutions to improve the health of country people.
