More Support for Regional Grassroots Projects

Communities who are adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic can now apply for a special funding stream for a broad range of grassroots community lead initiatives.

More Support for Regional Grassroots Projects

From now until February 2024 the Rebuilding Regional Communities funding stream will strive to help local groups restart community activities and maintain social support networks in regional towns.

The Rebuilding Regional Communities Program will provide micro-grants across 2 streams to grassroots community organisations.

  • The Micro Projects Stream will provide small grants of up to $10,000 or communities in regional Australia with fewer than 50,000 people to help sustain local organisations and their work, and;
  • The COVID Recovery stream will provide a grant of up to $50,000 for larger projects to help recovery efforts for communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grants will be delivered by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal and further information can be found here
