Free Cyber Security Plan, Workshops & Solution Funding for your Business

Almost one in ten Tasmanians fell victim to hacking, scams and other cyber-attack attempts in the 2021 financial year, and directly lost over $4.5million to cyber criminals, plus many times more from loss of business, interruption, lost customer credibility, and recovery costs.

The average loss to individual businesses from successful email-related attacks alone, increased to more than $50,000 per business – more than one-and-a-half times higher than the previous financial year.

Australian cyber-crime reports have increased nearly 13 per cent, which equates to one report of a cyber-attack every 8 minutes compared to one every 10 minutes last financial year.

Every business needs a cyber risk management plan

The risk of cyber-attack, and the need for a specific plan to minimise that risk, is relevant to all Tasmanian businesses - from a farm to a home business, trades, retail, and up to our biggest employers.

The catastrophic impact of cyber-attack and the growing risk means every business of every size needs a practical plan to help protect them.

Businesses that don’t have this plan are simply more vulnerable to the inevitable and repeated attacks from cyber criminals.

How to get your plan

Thanks to funding through Australian Government AusIndustry, small and medium businesses in Tasmania can receive a customised Cyber Risk Management Plan at no cost, plus support and advisory services by local experts where needed.

The plan will identify the major risk factors for your specific business, with practical recommendations and information on minimising those risks.

To develop your specific plan, CyberUp experts need some basic information about your business.  You can provide this information either:
