AEC economic consultants completed Socio-Economic Profile & Opportunity Assessment reports on the group of Greater Hobart councils in December 2019.
The councils of Brighton, Clarence, Glenorchy, Hobart and Kingborough were seeking economic data and analysis to establish a consistent set of baseline data to inform strategic decision making at a local government and regional level. The report will be used to understand the economic and social trends of each of the Local Government Areas within Greater Hobart.
The report identifies a range of potential opportunities that exist and the role of each council in developing these opportunities as well as opportunities for councils to collaborate for the economic development of Greater Hobart.
