Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund
Funding of $75,000 to $2 million is available to organisations in the arts and entertainment sector through RISE. RISE supports cultural and creative events or activities that will contribute to an organisations financial viability and job creation to support Australian artists, performers and their work. Eligible events include event programing and promotion, festivals, the purchasing and leasing of equipment, the development of COVID-safe infrastructure, community outreach workshops and capacity building activities. The first round of projects has been announced whilst the deadline for applicants to be considered for the second round of RISE funding is 14th January 2021. Live Music Australia
Following the impacts of COVID-19, grants of up to $100,000 are available to support small to medium music venues become operational again. The Live Music Australia program provides $5 million annually over 4 years with funding allocated through an open competitive grants system in 2 rounds each year. The funding is purposed to help venues reopen and rebuild their live music programs, support performance opportunities for contemporary and local music and encourage collaboration across the Australian live music industry. This program is part of the Governments $30.9 million Australian Music Industry Package. The deadline for applicants to be considered for round 2 of funding is the 18th February 2021. Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support program
Funding of up to $20 million per annum is allocated to organisations within the Indigenous visual arts industry who have a strong participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The funding is purposed to continue the production, exhibition, critique, purchase and collection of Indigenous visual art. Funding is delivered to art centres, mostly in remote locations, industry service organisations, art fairs and art hubs in regional or urban locations. Arts Sustainability Fund
$35 million in funding is available to support arts organisations to help them remain solvent. This program is intended to assist organisations by supporting the employment of workers to rebuild Australia’s economy, enhance community wellbeing and increase access to cultural experiences across Australia. Funding has been open since 31 August 2020 and will remain open until all funds are allocated, or until the 31st May 2021. Show Starter Loan Scheme
$90 million in loans is offered to arts and entertainment businesses to provide them with access to the finances they need to generate productions and events that stimulate job creation and economic activity. Eligible businesses can apply for loans of up to 50% of the total budget for an activity that supports the delivery of new arts and entertainment production or events. Loans terms are for up to five years. This scheme is a part of the Governments $250 million COVID-19 Creative Economy Support Package through the $40 billion Coronavirus Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Guarantee Scheme.
